Betty Goff

Mary Elizabeth Goff, age 90, Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at Kobacker House in Columbus, Ohio. Betty was born February 20, 1922 in Columbus to the late Joseph and Elizabeth Fischer; also preceded in death by her husband, Wilmer Goff and two infant sisters, Matilda and Barbara Fischer. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Brown; son, Chris (Nancy) Goff; grandchildren, Brittany Brown, Robin (Shaun) Kirk, John Voegli, Robert Voegli, Laura Voegli; great-grandchildren, Bradon, Shane, Brianna and Hannah; cousins, Tom, Mike, Jim, Steve and Ron Krauss, Debbie Warner; sister-in-law, Mary Ellen (Robert) Farguhar; other extended family and friends. Betty was a founding member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. She worked for the Columbus Dispatch, owned the Goff Hunter Photo Studio and enjoyed painting and sewing clothing for the children and their dolls. She was an avid chess player and won numerous bowling trophies. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12noon Friday, September 21, 2012 at St. Leo Catholic Church, 221 Hanford St., Columbus, OH 43206 where family will receive friends beginning at 11:30am; Msgr.
