Betty Ruth Hopkins

Betty Ruth Hopkins of Reynoldsburg, Ohio died on Monday, June 23, 2014. She was born in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Mayme (Hamm) and Fred Stone on December 25, 1927. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, William "Pop" Hopkins. Left to remember her with deep love and affection are daughter, Susan Beery and husband, Earl; granddaughter, Tricia (Beery) Sanders and husband, Chad; granddaughter, Melinda (Beery) Meyer and husband, Tom; great-grandchildren, Chase, Nathan, A.J., Jamison, and Noah; 2 brothers, William and Donald (Ruth) Stone; sister, Faye Goodman; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog and best friend, Sassy. While Betty enjoyed many hobbies during her life such as gardening, sewing, and working for her church, the light of her life was her family. Her ability to teach us all lessons about love, responsibility, compassion, honor and loyalty is unparalleled. She will be missed by all, but her spirit will guide us always. Family will receive friends 6-8 pm Wednesday at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave. Funeral service will be held 11:00 am Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Vineyard Christian Church, 1055 McNaughten Road, where visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
