Betty Mae Lee

Betty Mae Lee, age 90, of Powell, Ohio, formerly of Gahanna, passed away November 16, 2018. She was born July 13, 1928 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Shirley and Goldie (VanGundy) Seitz. And was a Linden McKinley High School graduate. Betty loved music and dancing and while square dancing at the I.O.O.F. Country Club in Gahanna, she caught the eye of Homer "Lucky" Lee. Betty accepted his hand in marriage on Aug. 8, 1948 at The Linden Church of Christ. She was a 58 year member of Karl Road Baptist Church, The Eastern Stars-Triangle Chapter #592 and The Orbiting Squares Square Dance Club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Homer "Lucky" Lee and a brother, Chester (Jean) Seitz. Surviving are her son, Bob (Bev) Lee, Powell, OH; grandchildren, Cory Lee (Beth Winemiller), Jackson, WY, Tony (Jen) Lee, Powell, OH and Andrea (Calo) Lee LaMattina, Jackson, WY; great-grandchildren, Kaylin, Levi and Isaac Lee, Dario and Vito LaMattina, brother Paul (Diane) Seitz Birmingham, AL; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Family will receive friends Wednesday, November 28, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. with an Eastern Star service at 7:30 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St., Worthington, OH 43085, where the funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, November 29, 2018, Rev. Richard Breusch, officiating. Interment Mifflin Twp. Cemetery.
