

Betty Lee Mattlin, 95, passed away August, 19, 2013 at her Bexley
residence. She was proceeded in death by husband Morris Lee Mattlin.
Betty was born in Akron, Ohio July 4, 1918 to the late Josephine and Harry
Ferbstein. She is survived by children Jane and Richard ,caring sister Joan
Berne, of Beverly Hills,CA., niece Paddy Berne, and nephew Freddie Berne.
Special thanks to her devoted brother-in-law Everett Mattlin of Potomac,
MD (wife Barbara Patocka), and nephews: Alec, Ben, and Jeff Mattlin.
Graduate of Simmons College, Betty worked in public relations before
marriage in 1941. An avid golfer, lifelong expert bridge player and
symphony and art enthusiast. She was active in a number of charitable
organizations including Wexner Heritage Village and the Columbus School
For The Blind where she typed books in braille for many years. Betty was a
loving parent, an always supportive friend, the best of listeners, open
minded and generous. Someone you were always happy to see and be
with. Deepest gratitude to Margaret Thurman for her compassionate care
and humor. Funeral and internment will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday,
August 22, 2013 at Union Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel B, 3349
Olentangy River Road (Rt. 315 exit at Olentangy River Rd.). The family will receive friends 4-6 p.m. Friday, August 23, 2013 at her residence.
