Betty Jo Sheppard

Betty Jo Sheppard, 89, of Lewis Center, passed away on January 26, 2019. She was born on January 19, 1930 in Holden, West Virginia to Webb and Ida (Dempsey) Maynard. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Radnor W. Sheppard.

She was a member of Harvest Time Baptist Church. Betty loved working in her yard and garden, entertaining in her home, and spending time with her family and friends. She worked for Whalen and Company, from where she retired in 1992.

Betty will be deeply missed by her son Bradley W. (Joyce) Sheppard; grandchildren Matthew (Jennifer) Sheppard and Amy Foltz; great grandsons Luke and Levi Sheppard; sisters Mary Ann Mills, Donna (Ira) Muncy, Deanna (William) Brewer; brothers Clint (Gladys) Maynard and Eddie (Rosemary) Maynard; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5-8pm on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at the SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 North High Street. A funeral service celebrating Betty's life will take place at 10am on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Northlawn Memory Gardens.
