Betty Jean Sikking, of Columbus, OH, passed away on December 7, 2025, at the age of 100. She was born in Louisville, KY, to the late LeRoy and Hazel Sikking. Betty dedicated her life to helping others and obtained her Master’s Degree in Social Services before going on to lead a career of over 35 years in social work, ultimately becoming the Director of Social Services for The Ohio State University before her retirement in 1985. Betty could often be found with a good book in hand, and she had a fondness for travelling the world – visiting at least 13 different countries over her lifetime. In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in passing by her cousin Kay. She is survived by her devoted friend and caretaker, Mike McKinney, cousins Joy and Patricia, and countless friends made over the years.
