

Beulah E. “Boots” Hessinger, 95, of Columbus, passed away December 30, 2009. Born November 27, 1914 to the late Don R. and Lillian “Fern” Phillips in Little Pennsylvania (now Darbydale, Ohio). Beulah is also preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Hessinger; children, Donny Rutherford, Patricia Rutherford Shumate, Norma Hessinger Hover and by her brother, Don Harold Phillips. Survived by her daughter, Linda (Richard) Hoffman; son-in-law, Robert (Joyce) Hover; grandchildren, Terry (George) Culp, Jeffrey (Lois) Hover, Keli Spiert, Diane (Kenneth) Diggins, Duane (Lori) Hoffman, Matthew (Deanna) Hoffman, Philip Hoffman, Bonnie (Kenneth) Belles; 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great, great-grandchild. Beulah was a 1932 graduate of Fairfield High School in Madison County. Children were entertained by Grandma Boots’ stories of how the farm worked without electric or running water and her school bus being pulled by horses. She loved to fish, read and follow basketball. Boots also enjoyed quilting and collecting seashells. Boots was a salesperson for Glicks Furniture Store. Visitation will be held 2:00-5:00PM Sunday, January 3, 2010 at the SCHOEDINGER-NORRIS CHAPEL 3920 Broadway Grove City. Funeral services will be held 10:30AM Monday, January 4, 2010 at Crossroads United Methodist Church, 1100 S. Hague Ave. Columbus, Ohio.
