Wonderful wife, mother, sister, friend.
She fought for right causes. A member of TWIG#5 for more than 50 years, Bee spent her free time working and advocating on behalf of children and their families as she spent her working hours doing the same for her own. She worked hard. She worked at NORAD in Colorado while Chuck was in the Army. Once they returned to Columbus, she worked with the real estate company that redeveloped the Lane Avenue Shopping Center. She finished up her career at OCLC in Dublin, Ohio. She also played hard. Traveling across the United States, graciously allowing her husband Chuck to accompany her, and sometimes her children and grandchildren.
Friends were paramount. Euchre and bridge kept her connected with friends for a lifetime. Her days as a sorority sister, a nursing student and as a young wife and mother led to years of love and laughter with a broad swath of women – too numerous to mention – who enriched her life as she enriched theirs.
Family, however, always came first. Bee didn’t define family by bloodline, rather by love. Her door was always open, her ‘fridge always full and her heart and mind accepting and willing to all. She was a stalwart one could always count on. She will be missed. She will not be forgotten.
Bee is survived by her husband of 55 years, Chuck; daughter, Anne (John) Hayes; daughter, Debbie Moffitt; grandchildren, Caroline and Abby Hayes; twin sister, Sandy Fiore and daughter, Billie Jean O’Malley and family; sister, Alberta (Jim) Muhlbach and family; sister, Susan (Steve) Hatten and family; sister-in-law, Mary (John) Hanger and family; and many other nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 28 and followed by visitation from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd.
