Bonnie Jean Smith

Family was very important to Bonnie. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother to all of her grandchildren and their families. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, John G. Smith; children: Randy (Pat) Martin, Craig (Connie) Martin, Robin (Mike) Brady and Christy Terry; 15 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; a niece, nephew and their families.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Richard Willis Moran and Clara Helen Newton; daughter Kim Orr; and brother Sonny Moran.

Bonnie attended East High School, married and started her family. She retired from White Castle System as a District Supervisor after 18 years of dedicated service. After retirement she went on to work at Woolworths at the Northland Mall.

Bonnie and John enjoyed a lifetime of boating on Lake Erie, and wintering in Florida. She enjoyed making the holidays special, especially at Christmas, where every family member received a “Diddy” bag instead of the traditional Christmas stocking. She was also an avid Buckeye Fan, enjoying every football and basketball game, while watching Tiger Woods play a game of golf on T.V.

Her family will receive friends on Monday from 5-8pm, at Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 N. High Street in Worthington, where her Funeral Service will be held at 10am, Tuesday, October 3, 2017.

Interment to follow at Africa Cemetery.
