Brenda M. Campbell

A Celebration of Life Service for Brenda M. Campbell, 68, of Newark, will be held on Friday, August 2, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 383 Washington St., Newark with Rev. Dr. Michael A. Noble officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Brenda was born in Detroit, MI on August 14, 1944 to the late Clarence Cabiness and Queen Esther (Rutland) Thompson. She passed away at her residence on July 24, 2013.

Brenda graduated from Newark High School. She was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. She was a devoted homemaker to her husband and children. She enjoyed gardening, shopping, playing bingo and spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Horace Campbell, whom she married on November 13, 1965; children, Kimberly Miller, Donetta Miller, Teri Campbell-Downs, Jill Campbell, India Miller and Curtis Campbell; brothers and sisters, Pauletta (Oscar) Evans, Rubin Withers, Loveta Parks, Clarence (Judy) Cabiness Jr., Kathleen Cabiness and Clifford Cabiness; eight grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins other family and friends.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Brenda to DaVita Cherry Valley Dialysis, 1627 W. Main St., Newark, Ohio 43055. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Friends may call at the Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Home, 179 Granville St., Newark on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
