Brenda Cole

Brenda (Hall) Cole, age 91, passed away on August 20, 2018 at the Forum at Knightsbridge healthcare facility in Columbus, Ohio, surrounded by family and friends. Brenda was born on January 27, 1927 in Ashington, Northumberland, England. Her parents and sisters, Annie Mary (Mamie) and Verna, came to the United States in 1930. Both of her parents died while Brenda was still a child and she was raised in Kentucky at the Masonic Home. She was married to Peter Cole for 39 years. While in California, she was an Assistant to the Director of Racing and worked at the Santa Anita and Del Mar race tracks. She had a deep love of horses and horse racing. After retiring, she moved to Columbus in 2010 to live closer to her sister Verna Bulman.

Brenda is preceded in death by her parents, John and Annie Mary (Scott) Hall, as well as her sisters Mamie McKinney Gardner and Verna Bulman. She is survived by her brother-in-law Gene Bulman, her niece Linda (John) Iben, her nephew Gary (Kathleen) Bulman, two grand-nieces Joanna Iben and Jennifer (Joshua) Goodwin and a grand-nephew James Iben, two great grand-nephews Jackson and Jace Goodwin and a great grand-niece Jianna Goodwin.

Brenda did not wish to have any funeral services. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to a charity of your choice.
