

Brian John Ghesquiere, age 33, of Columbus, passed away unexpectedly Friday, March 3, 2017 at his home. He was born April 7, 1983 in Toledo, Ohio, son of John C. Ghesquiere and Laurie E. (Aubry) Ghesquiere.
Brian was a graduate of St. Francis High School in Toledo Ohio and then moved to Columbus Ohio where he received his Bachelor's degree from The Ohio State University. He always had a curious attitude for continuous learning and knowledge. Brian worked in the information systems and technology field throughout his career. He was an avid cyclist and loved the outdoors and nature. He had an adventurous personality and a kind heart. Brian was always reaching out to help others and making new friends wherever he went. His wide circle of friends is a true testimony to the unending compassion, love and support that he gave throughout his journey to everyone he met in his life.
His passion for travel took him to many exciting places such as Paris, Istanbul, Puerto Rico, Spain, Thailand, Myanmar, Argentina, China, Hong Kong and a cross-country bike tour as well as back packing throughout other parts of the world. Besides his parents, he is survived by his brother Daniel Ghesquiere; paternal grandmother, Elsie Ghesquiere; maternal grandparents, Lawrence and Joyce Aubry; aunts and uncles, Diane (Bob) Demory, Michelle (Steve) Sharp, Joseph (Jill) Ghesquiere, Lisa Ghesquiere, Mary Beth Aubry (David Goodwin) and Tammy (Chuck) Huss; and a special mentor in his life Charles Bishirjian; numerous cousins. He was also surrounded by a close knit community of friends in the Columbus area. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Charles Ghesquiere and aunt, Cindy Wojciechowski. To celebrate Brian's life a gathering will take place at 11:00 am on March 10, 2017 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church; 8330 Lewis Avenue Temperance, Michigan 48182 followed by a Funeral Mass at 12 noon. A luncheon will follow. A second Celebration of Brian's Life will be held in Columbus Ohio at Highbanks Metro Park, Dragonfly Camp on Saturday, March 11th at 5 pm.
