Calvin Thomas "River" Richards, 20, died unexpectedly as the result of a car accident Sunday, December 18, 2016. He was born August 17, 1996 in Columbus to Leonard Richards and Donna (Allen) Richards. He is also survived by his brother Corey Richards, Donna's companion Chuck Hillberry, grandmother Carol Ackerman, Aunt Carol (Tom) Melsop, Uncle Tony Richards and Uncle Brad (Danielle) Richards, numerous cousins and friends. Calvin was a 2015 graduate of ACPA and was employed with Raising Cane's. River was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church. He enjoyed music composition and arranging. He enjoyed Pokemon and was a Star Trek enthusiast. Feel free to wear your favorite Pokemon or Trekkie shirt to his services in his honor. River had a huge heart and always wanted to help someone in need. Family will receive friends Thursday, December 22, 2016 from 6-8 PM at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd. where a service will be held at 11 AM Friday, December 23, 2016. To honor his memory follow his lead and register for organ donation. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Grant ICU or Lifeline of Ohio.
