

Carl served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and the Korean War. He retired from active duty after 20 years and was in the Fleet Reserve Association. Carl worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Indianapolis and retired after 18 years with a combined federal service of 38 years. Carl was gifted in leather craft and woodworking. He liked to be busy and could do anything he put his mind to do. He will be dearly missed by his loving family.
In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his wife, Jean; a sister, and a brother. Carl will be missed by his daughter, Sue (Doug) Weatherby, Gahanna, OH, son, Douglas (Margaret) Booth, California; grandchildren, Steve (Cris) Weatherby, Daniel (Kathy) Weatherby, Lori Mueller, Jeff (Delia) Herrera, Melissa (Chuck) Gonzalez, Ryan Booth, and Allison (Mike) Buchi; 13 great-grandchildren; and 3 half sisters.
Family will receive friends Wednesday, May 23, 2012 from 4 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 6 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 24, 2012 in the Patriots Court at Washington Park East Cemetery, 10612 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN, 46229.
