Carmen Emma Haydee Soga

On Saturday, November 25, 2023, our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother Carmen Emma Soga passed away at the age of 90. She was born on August 22, 1933 in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. She moved to the states when she married Walter T. Soga, during his service in the U.S Air Force and remained a devoted wife for 63 years until his death in 2002. The always beautiful and fun loving “Miss Puerto Rico” lived for the joy of her family. She loved to host get-togethers at her home where she did all the cooking, including the Hall of Fame rice and chicken with red beans. She also loved to garden and spent hours working on making her home as beautiful as she was. She remained active throughout and only recently stopped driving. Her silly sense of humor and “tell it like it is” attitude will be sorely missed. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Walter. She is survived by her daughter Beatrice Brown and sons Wally Soga and his wife Kristen Lowe and Rick Soga and his wife Tracy, her granddaughters Pam Hart and her Husband Jim, Cindy Brown, Amy Soga, Kylee Soga and Devin Brown, grandsons Jared Soga and his wife Courtney, Dylan Soga and Kai Soga and great grandchildren Tyler and Halee Hart and Zade Brown. Family will receive friends 2-6 pm Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Schoedinger East, 5360 E. Livingston Ave. Columbus, OH 43232.
