Carol L. Brandt

Carol Lois Brandt (O’Brien), Born September 14, 1942 in Scranton, PA, passed away March 4, 2017 in Kissimmee, FL. Proceeded in death by son Brett Brandt and loving Sister-in-Law Bonnie O’Brien who was her sister at heart! Survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Judge Michael T. Brandt of Grove City, Ohio.

Son Troy Brandt Clearwater, FL. Grandchildren Carsen and Emerson Brandt, Clearwater, FL. Brianna Brandt and Cooper Paugh with their parents, Cari and Marcus Paugh Ashville, OH. Brother Joseph O’Brien Cape Coral, FL. Sisters Ursula Proce, Lynn and Joe Miles, and Candice O’Brien all of Ft. Myers, FL.

Carol graduated from Scranton Central High School in 1960, from there she continued on to Scranton State Nursing School where she received her degree as a Registered Nurse in 1963.

Carol came to Ohio to work where she found a job at Mt. Carmel Hospital West. She was taking care of a patient and low and behold that patient had a son. Who then Carol came to marry Judge Michael T. Brandt. Carol’s career ended at the Heinzerlinger Developmental Center where she made many dear friends and longtime relationships.

After retiring, Carol enjoyed watching Brianna’s athletic accomplishments and growing up to this beautiful young lady she has become! Her father would be so proud!

She also loved to shop for special birthday and Christmas presents for her friends and family as everyone knows. Speaking of Birthdays, Carol celebrated hers for a weeklong vacation every year. It was spent with her family and friends Maureen and Jim, Regina, Jill, Joe and Bonnie and yes of course Mike. It was in a different state every year and where ever Carol picked everyone hopped on a plane and went!

Friends may call 3-7 PM Thursday at the Schoedinger Grove City Chapel 3920 Broadway. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Friday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church 3722 Broadway. Rev Fr Dan Millisor celebrant and Rev Fr. Romano Ciotola concelebrant. Interment at Grove City Cemetery.

Special Thanks to Cari, Regina, Jill and Danny Whittier who were with Carol, Mike, Troy and her brother Joe when she passed.

Carol was a loving and caring friend, nurse, wife, mother and grandmother, she lived life the way she wanted and will be missed by all.
