I got to know Carol when she came with a friend to our church's sewing gatherings.  She had a big heart and was creative.  May God comfort you in your loss.

   From the first time I met Carol, we hit it off due to both of our sense of humor!! God blessed you with a special lady and we appreciated your presence at our children's weddings. 
   Carol made an impact on others because of her love for mankind! She always cared for people and it showed, not by her rhetoric, but by her actions!
   I was privileged to know Carol and blessed to have you as a friend!

Carol’s laugh was so contagious.  I found her to be so interested in exploring cities , the arts and  music. She was  a great conversationalist ! I was so sorry to hear about Carol. She and I worked together in the publishing shop at Chapman Elementary and had great fun talking together about anything and everything. We gradually lost touch as our kids grew older, but I thought of her often. She was a wonderful person--kind, generous, and funny! I wish the family love and peace at this very sad time.

Carol was a source of sunshine in my life. Going to school together we made so many memories. She loved her family and enjoyed talking about them. Her love of life was something you would take away from spending time with her. I know we will see her again but the time without her will be different. "Friendship is a plant we must water often" Carol was the watering can. We are all better for having known her. Love and Peace to the family.

Carol's joy in living and sharing were infectious. We only spent short moments together at Shakespeare events, but she instantly made me feel welcome and loved with her kind interest in me and my family. Sending my love back to her dear family at this time. Fondly, Aaron Young

Carol Cross was a devoted fan of all things Winona, MN. She and her beloved husband Kevin and the entire Cross family could be seen at events that ranged from classical music and Shakespeare, to street fairs and local parades. While they split time between their two cities and homes, the Cross family's dedication to their Minnesota roots was strong and ever present. Carol's laugh, encouragement, and her desire to roll up her sleeves and support in whatever ways she could will be sorely missed. Thank you Carol, for being a constant source of inspiration and goodness. We will remember you, share stories of you, and look forward to feeling your spirit which will most certainly remain with us between the Bluffs.

Dear Kevin, Jonathan, and Jennifer,
When Carol and I were catching up, she often shared stories with me about times with family, near and far, and most recently about new and beautiful Isla, showing me that special love of family she had. Also there were those quirky delights too I won’t forget – her travel adventures, trying to get me to learn quilting, the pet tarantula living in the bathroom, discovering we shared similar health concerns, and agreeing to tackle co-facilitating a new adult medical support group. I so appreciated her medical knowledge, her laughter, her can-do attitude! She loved life, and each one of you. Praying God’s comfort all around each of you,

Kevin, Jennifer and Jonathan, we are so sorry to hear about the loss of Carol.  We have loved having her as our backyard neighbor for more than 30 years.  She loved her family and was very proud of her children and granddaughter.  Our prayers are with you all.

So sorry to hear of the loss of Carol.  Seems not so long ago that we were all in high school and had all of life before us.  Some of us seem to leave before we too early.  Having recently found her on Facebook, it's particularly strange to have yet another string back to the world of Minnesota cut.    

 You and your family are in my prayers.  Hang in there, stay safe, be well.
