

Ms. Carol Dean (McClure) Haenszel, passed away Tuesday evening, July 15, 2025. Carol was born August 8, 1942 in Danville VA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Ethel McClure and siblings Faye, Gladys, Phyllis, and Edward “Buddy”. She is survived by her son Michael and Arrianna Warren (Portland, Oregon), his ex-wife Benita Warren (Granville, OH), and her grandsons Nicholas Warren (Loveland, Ohio) and Kenneth Warren (Granville, Ohio). Carol grew up in Clyde, NC and graduated from Clyde High School in 1960. Carol left NC in 1977 living in Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Ohio. Carol was a bookkeeper and received her associate degree from Franklin University in 1989. She was also an avid painter, gardener, cook, and seamstress. She was passionate about her pets and her flower garden. Described by friends and neighbors as “fierce, determined, and loyal”. Carol lived her last years as a resident of the Inn at Chapel Grove in Heath, Ohio. Until her passing, she continued her daily ritual to dress in a newly coordinated outfit and complete a crossword puzzle to stay sharp! She was celebrated with a private celebration of life by family.
