Carole A. McCaffrey, 71 of German Village, passed away November 7, 2014 at Kobacker House, ending a 6 year battle with cancer. She was born October 13, 1943 in Auburn, Indiana to the late Maurice and Mildred Close. Carole was a graduate of Ball State University, where she received her Teaching Degree. Besides her parents she is also preceded in death by her daughter, Suzanne. She is survived by her loving husband of 46yrs, Thomas R. McCaffrey; step daughter, Christina (Mike) Evans, Eden Prairie, MN; grandsons, Ryan, Isaac, David and Benjamin Evans; brother, Dr. Fredrick ( Eva) Close, Southern, CA; nephews, Eric, Randy and Christopher Close. A memorial service will be held 2:00pm Monday November 24th at BROAD STREET UNITED METHODIST CHURCH 501 E. Broad St. Columbus, OH 43215.
