

A Funeral Liturgy for Caroline “Kay” Rauch, 78 of Newark, will be held on Friday, October 1, 2010 at 10:00 AM at the Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Home with Father Bob Penhallurick officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Kay was born in Belfast, Maine of January 7, 1932 to the late Roland Earl and Ethel Louise (Berry) Hanson. She passed away at her residence on September 28, 2010 while surrounded by her loving family.
Kay was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. She was also a member of the American Legion Post #85 Ladies Auxiliary. Kay never knew a stranger and she loved everyone she met. She enjoyed cooking and baking, especially during the holiday seasons. She was a devoted wife, mother and dearly loved her pets.
Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Richard Rauch, whom she married on November 20, 1971; daughter, Kay Marie Rauch of the home; sister, Helen Staples of Maine; brother, Robert (Ethel) Hanson of Maine; special nephews, Butch (Tracy) Springer and Hank Rauch; special nieces, Nicole Rauch and Jennifer Rauch; and numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one son, Alvin Miller; and numerous brothers and sisters.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Kay to Hospice of Central Ohio, P.O. Box 430, Newark, Ohio 43058.
Family and friends may call at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark on Thursday from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM. A Vigil Service will be held on Thursday at 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
