Catherine Sue Hass

Catherine “Cathy” Sue Hass, age 67, of Columbus, Ohio passed away unexpectedly at her home on April 27, 2022. Born on January 1st, 1955 in Mason, West Virginia to Robert and Mildred Milburn (both deceased). She is preceded in death by her loving husband Ralph “Butchie” L. Hass; and her brother John “Buzz” Ord.

Catherine is survived by her children Jessica Hass (James and Kids, Columbus, Ohio); Christopher Hass; step daughters Beverly, Brenda, Barbara, Beth and Brandy. Grandchildren Eniyah Umara, Christen Russel, Carley Hass, Suzanna Hass, Nichole Huffman. Brothers Bobby Milburn (Dayton, OH) Paul Milburn, Patrick Milburn (Chillicothe, OH), David Milburn (Parkersburg, W.Va). Sisters Rose (Mike) Tyburski (South Carolina), Debra (Randy) Blanton (Paintsville, KY), Tammy Clemens (California), Kelly Murphy (Columbus, OH); along with a host of half-siblings, and many nieces and nephews.

Cathy lived most of her life in Columbus working with animals. She was a kind, caring person whose front door was always open. She loved her coffee, good porch weather, and those visits from her family and friends. Cathy knew no stranger, human or animal. She loved all of those who knew her and most of all she loved being a “maw-maw”. She will be deeply missed by so many.

Her life will be honored and remembered with a Funeral Service at 1:00pm, Thursday, May 5, 2022 at SCHOEDINGER NORTH, 5554 Karl Road, where friends and family will gather in support starting at 11:00am up to the time of services. Father Anthony Davis, presiding. Interment Union Cemetery.
