Cathie A. Wagers

A funeral service for Cathie A. (Wiseman) (Palm) Wagers, age 46, of Newark, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 13, at Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Shoemaker officiating. Burial will take place in Wilson Cemetery.

Cathie passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 8, 2013 at Licking Memorial Hospital. She was born April 26, 1967 in Newark, Ohio to the late Donald R. and Mandy Mae (Farmer) Wiseman Dobbs.

Cathie was a 1985 graduate of Newark High School and had been a home health aide for ten years with Newark Resident Homes. She enjoyed reading, cooking and spending time with her family.

As was in her generous nature, Cathie gave the gift of hope to others by being a tissue donor through Lifeline of Ohio.

She is survived by her husband, Randy Wagers, whom she married December 24, 2012; daughter, Summer Nelson of Newark; step-sons, Stephen Wagers and Jordan Wagers, of the home; five siblings, Roxanne (Robert) McDonald of Nashport, Donnie (Maria) Wiseman of Frazeysburg, Tim Wiseman of Heath, Shawn (Michelle) Wiseman of Heath and Karen Wiseman of Florida; many nieces and nephews; and her faithful companion, her Miniature Dachshund, Zoey.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Diana Wiseman; and a brother, William Mayle.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, September 12, at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark.
