A funeral service, to celebrate the life of Cathleen D. Thurman, 61 of Newark, will be held on Friday, April 27, 2012 at 10:30 AM at Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Home, with Pastor Bill Wayt officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Cathleen was born in Kansas City, Missouri on December 23, 1950 to Robert G. and Nellie M. (Campbell) Thurman. She passed away at her residence on April 23, 2012 while surrounded by her extended family from CSS Home 1.
Cathleen enjoyed working at LICCO, attending the James Street Center and socializing with her friends. She was an avid collector of frogs, liked spending time outdoors, and loved and hugged everyone she met.
Family and friends may call at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark on Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
