Cecil Donald Wamsley passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2017 in Columbus, Ohio. Born in Parkersburg WV and raised in Vincent OH, Don was the youngest of 4 siblings. A graduate of University of Dayton, he lived in Dayton OH most of his adult life. He was proud of his Army service in 1946-1947 and was a graduate of University of Dayton. He is retired from the State of OH. He is predeceased by his parents, siblings, and son, Donald L. Wamsley MD. He is survived by loving wife, Lois, daughter Jane (Doug) Maier, daughter-in-law Denise, granddaughter Katie (Matt) Coble, 5 grandsons (Nathaniel Maier and wife Theresa, James and wife Sihui, Andy and wife Mary, Sam and wife Hyatt, and Joe), and great-grandson Henry Maier. Private services will be held. Arrangements entrusted to SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL.
