Charles “Chuck” Elijah Baer, age 78, died June 24, 2010. He was born August 6, 1931 in Grove City to Elmer and Mary Baer. Chuck was a member of Grove City Lodge #689 F&AM. He was strong, quick witted, and always took care of his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Charles Michael, and George Douglas Baer; and sisters, Nellie Shop, Sis McNabb, and Jean Walters. Chuck is survived by his wife of 59 years, Joann; children, Bob (Susie) Baer, Cathy (Greg) Bronson, and Debbie (Cliff) Brown; daughter-in-law, Sara Baer; sister, Jane Mehler; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and many special friends. Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, and have a Masonic service at 7:30 pm on Sunday, June 27, 2010 at Schoedinger Grove City Chapel, 3920 Broadway. A graveside service will be held at 3 pm on Monday, June 28, 2010 at Concord Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in his memory to Mt.
