The Baxley Family was a lovely part of the heart & soul of our cherished childhood neighborhood, and the reason why I still hold dear so many memories of those happy times.  Chuck brought an energy and enthusiasm that added to the magic of growing up there in the 60's & 70's.  He will remain always in our hearts.  Our prayers and sincere condolences go out to you, Mr. Baxley and dear Judy, and to Chuck's beloved wife and sons.

My most sincere condolences to Chuck's family.  I worked with Chuck in the trading area of Vercoe & Co. for five years, beginning in 1981.  I used to tease him and call him "Chuckles."  He was a significant part of a great group of people at Vercoe.  We all worked hard and played (softball) hard.  Win or lose, we had fun times either celebrating or commiserating at the 185 Club at games' end. I will always remember Chuck as a great guy.

I don't know what to say but that Chuck was so supportive of my son, David. He is a great father and so much more. He loved Kevin, Ryan and his wife, Trish, so much.

Our family was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Charles.  We fondly remembered him as a caring and compassionate coach the year our son played on his optimist basketball team.  We also enjoyed seeing him in the neighborhood with his younger son or walking his dog at Northwest Park.  We offer our deepest sympathy to Tricia and the family during this sad time.

Deepest Sympathies on the loss of Charles, your husband and father. Even though I did not know him, I shared a connection as a Kappa Sigma brother. We are so sorry to hear of Chuck's passing. Our family was his back neighbor to their family for years.  He was in high school when we moved there. I am deeply saddened to hear of Chuck's passing. I unfortunately will be out of the country on Saturday and not be able to attend the service. Chuck was my "Big Brother" as a pledge at Kappa Sigma Fraternity and I will always be grateful for his guidance and ultimately "pinning" the Star & Crescent on me upon initiation. I have many great memories but one that stands out for me was being one of his "Little Brothers" serving him his steak and wine at his Senior dinner and then watching him raise a toast to Kappa Sigma and throwing the wine glass into the fire place. . . I was surprised and saddened to hear of Chuck's death.  I remember the old days at Vercoe and Co. and our softball team, The Vercoe Options!  Chuck played short stop and his sister,Judy, played third base.  They were great athletes! We always had a lot of fun and won our league one year!  He is gone way too soon.  Blessings and prayers. I met Chuck while pledging to the Kappa Sigma fraternity at Ohio State. We became instant friends and he served as my Big Brother. I have many fond memories of our college antics. We reconnected a few years after graduation as I asked Chuck to be my investment adviser when I decided to venture into the mysterious stock market. Chuck was always very patient with me as he tried to talk down to my novice experience level in the world of finance. I never did fully understand, but I completely trusted Chuck with my accounts. I was a loyal client through all of his moves to different investment firms. Chuck was a great friend, brother and adviser. This is a tragic loss for many people, especially his family. Trish, my prayers go out to you and your family. I can only hope that the kind words from everyone on this wall will let you know how much Chuck touched our lives while he was here, and give you peace.

Our daughter Samantha was in Kevin's high school class we ended up running into and spending the day with Kevin and Chuck at our Miami of Ohio and Indiana University college visits. Chuck was having as much fun as the high school students and undergraduates on the tours and reliving the college experience.  We have great memories of those trips with the Baxley's. We express our deepest sympathy.

Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend the service on Saturday as I will be out of town.  Chuck was a true friend, and will be sorely missed. One of my fondest memories was when he and I drove to Glacier National Park, Montana for a camping trip. We wanted to drive as close to Mount Rushmore as possible on the way out, so we could spend more time there.  We drove too far, and by the time we were ready to stop for the night, all of the nearby hotels were booked, so we had to sleep at a rest stop in Chuck's car--a little Dodge Omni as I recall.  What a hoot!  But my fondest memory of all was how we would get psyched up for our college intramural basketball games--by blasting Led Zeppelin's Kashmir in Chuck's room in the Kappa Sig house. That never failed to get Chuck revved up!       Jim Botti

I am so sorry, Trish, to hear about this tragic loss.  I have always respected Chuck, and enjoyed the years we worked together until about 10 or 11 years ago when you and Chuck went to Stifel.  I have never forgotten Chuck's smile and his care for his family and his clients.  May god bless you in this difficult time with strength and courage.

It is with much sadness we learned of the passing of Chuck. He and I had spoken about six weeks prior comparing notes on the financial services industry. I have known Chuck and Trish and his mom and dad and sister for approximately 21 years from Upper Arlington. The Baxleys have always been warm, loving and generous...Chuck was much the same. My heart aches for all of you at this loss. He was respected, admired and cherished as a friend, colleague and man.

My thoughts, prayers and love to you all as we grieve Chuck's passing. I so loved riding 100 (106 really) miles in day 1 of Pelotonia for the past several years with Chuck. As Kevin easily rode 180 miles last year with our Looker group, Chuck planned to ride the 180 with us this year... To show Kevin that he wasn't going to be shown up by an 18 year old! I was so looking forward to the 2 day ride this summer with him. It was a true pleasure getting to know him through cycling. Pedal On Chuck. You will be missed.
