

Charles M. Crawford, Sr., 85, of Pickerington, passed away on Friday, July 10, 2015. He was born in Michigan City, Indiana on June 19, 1930 to the late Cloid and Bessie (Williams) Crawford. Also preceding him in death are his loving wife of 63 years, Virginia “Ginny” Crawford, his brother Vernon Crawford, and his sisters Ardith Sult and Esther Congdon. Charles was a kind and gentle soul who will be dearly missed by his son Charles Crawford, Jr. of Pickerington; his grandchildren Brandon (Maggie) Crawford of South Bend, IN, Cole Crawford of Beavercreek, OH and Kendall (Seth) Crawford of New Albany, OH; his great grandson Connor Crawford of New Albany, OH; and his daughter-in-law Dana Crawford. Charles served in the U.S. Air Force as a Second Lieutenant. He also received his Masters Degree from The Ohio State University, and worked for many years as an educator. Ever ahead of their time, he and Ginny were the Co-Presidents of the Central Ohio Health Food Association. They were very interested in natural foods and loved living a healthy holistic lifestyle. Charles also led a spiritual life and spent many years teaching Sunday School to both adults and children. A funeral service celebrating his life will be held at 3pm Tuesday, July 14 at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Chapel, 5600 East Broad Street, Columbus.
