I worked with Chuck during my 11 years at Toledo Scale / Mettler Toledo as a fellow buyer. Our cubicles next to one another. His knowledge of the supplier base was without end. Chuck was a good friend. He loved his daughter, Sarah, so much. He was always there as a cohort, as a friend. He always did whatever it took to get the job done. He was the ultimate team player but most of all he was a good friend. I just learned of his death. My heart breaks for Chuck and his family. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him. It's a shame he wasn't able to enjoy the years of retirement he so deserved. My thoughts are with his family. Rest in peace my friend.

Buck Osborne

Chuck was endearingly "my grumpy old man".  I had the pleasure of working with him for about 10 years.  I spoke to him after his retirement a few times & we would talk about our lives & work & getting together for lunch or a movie sometime.  Sadly, we never got together.
My thoughts are with his family.

I spent many years providing information services. Chuck Martin rates among the top employees I served. Always enthusiastic at any attempt to help improve his duties, very grateful for anything regardless of how small my effort, and respectfully interested even when I initiated something. His disposition probably resulted in high vendor performance for MT. Knowledgeable on many topics outside work. Wish he could have enjoyed more retirement years.

I too worked with Chuck for many years, actually several decades.  He was mostly in Purchasing and I in Engineering so when we needed advice on parts and suppliers he was always someone we could count on to help.  
In the late 80's we worked together in Purchasing for about a year when I was temporary manager.  I was grateful to him and the other professional buyers/planners for holding the fort while I did my best to keep up.  I was able to pay him back that year by bringing in the first networked PC's that he used to keep his suppliers prices honest.
Chuck was always a good guy to know, always a good friend.  I am sad that he did not have more time to enjoy his well deserved retirement.

I worked with Chuck at Toledo Scale/Mettler Toledo for many years. He was always a good friend and a solid team member. We missed him when he retired as I'm sure the family will miss him now. With fond memories and my deepest condolences.
