Charles R. O'Reilly

Charles "Chuck" R. O'Reilly, 85, of Columbus, passed away on September 21, 2016. He was born on October 30, 1930 to Thomas and Loretta (Dyar) O'Reilly. He graduated from Aquinas High School in Columbus, Ohio in 1948. He proudly served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. Chuck worked for both Savko and Borean Construction Companies and retired after many years of dedicated service. Chuck was a long-time member of St. Matthias Catholic Church. In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his beloved wife Carolyn H. (Cahill) O'Reilly, and his brothers Paul and Thomas O'Reilly. Charles will be greatly missed by his children Timothy O'Reilly, Mike (Diana) O'Reilly, Theresa (Steve) Bohr, Laurie Walker and Pat (Cathy) O'Reilly; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. He loved every minute spent with his family and friends. Chuck was a sweet gentleman who never had an unkind word to say about anyone. He was a wonderful father, father-in-law, grandfather and friend. The family will receive friends from 2-6pm on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Road. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am Monday, September 26, 2016 at St. Matthias Church, 1582 Ferris Road, with Father Raymond Larussa officiating. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
