

Charles Lynn Strayer, age 77, joined the Lord on Monday, March 7. He was born on August 13, 1944, to the late Charles and Marjorie (Stoll) Strayer of Columbus, Ohio. Lynn and Sandra (Swan) Strayer were happily married for 53 years and raised two children, Benjamin (Angela) of Newark, Ohio, and Adriane of Whitehall, Ohio. In addition to his wife and children, he is survived by his brother Larry (Sally) Strayer of Englewood, Florida and four grandchildren, including two great-grandchildren. After graduating with a mathematics degree, he was an instructor in high school mathematics and computer programs at Independence High School in Columbus, Ohio. After a long teaching career, he decided to pursue a career with or Discover Financial Services for almost 20-years. Finally, he finished his career with The Granville Investment Group as a Financial Advisor. Throughout his life, he was a devout member of the East Side Grace Brethren Church (ESGBC) of Blacklick where he began reaching the unsaved through Evangelism Explosion and shared Jesus without fear; helped launch Grace Christian School; served on the elder board; lead a Bexley home group Bible study and served as a teacher in a men's Bible study group on Tuesday evenings. His family and friends will miss him. The family wishes to thank all of the many doctors, nurses, aides and staff at the Grant Medical and Riverside Methodist hospitals for their wonderful care. A funeral service will be held at 10 A.M. Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at East Side Grace Brethren Church, 7510 East Broad Street, Blacklick, Ohio, 43004. A graveside service will be held at 2 P.M. also on Tuesday, at Asbury Chapel Cemetery on Jones Road in South Vienna, Ohio. Contributions in lieu of flowers can be made out to ESGBC.
