Charles E. Wilson

Charles E. Wilson, Sr., age 78 of Hilliard, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2014. Charles was born and raised in Madison county Ohio, son of the late Homer and Donella Wilson. Charles retired from OSU Physical Facilities after 28 years of service and was a current member of the Hilliard Civil Service Commission. Charles was a giving man who was always willing to help others. He had a distinctive voice that was undeniably memorable. Charles was also a master woodworking craftsman who could fix just about anything. In addition, he also enjoyed genealogy, traveling and Civil War history. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 32 years, Mary L. Wilson; children, Linda Cunningham of London, Joanna Wilson of Dayton, Charles (Leeann) Wilson Jr., of Columbus and Michael (Lara) Wilson of London; grandchildren, Alexandria Osborne of London, Katherine Williams of London, Victoria Cunningham of London, Kevin Wilson of Belpre, Brian Wilson of Hilliard, Elizabeth Wilson of Hilliard, Sarah Wilson of Columbus, and Rachael Wilson of Hilliard; 8 great grandchildren; sister, Mary Jane Rarick of London; nephew, Robert Rarick of London; and many other dear friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 A.M. Monday, August 18, 2014 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd., where family will receive friends from 10:30 A.M. until time of service. Rev. Ed Myers officiating. Interment Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
