Charles Michael “Mike” Worthington, age 65, passed away at home on Thursday, December 31, 2009. Mike was born on April 27, 1944 to the late Charles A. and Joan Worthington. He is also preceded in death by his brothers, Mark Worthington and Dwayne Jordan; sister, Gail Elwood; and step-father, Bill Jordan. He is survived by his son, Michael “Mikie” Worthington (Kim) and their children, Michael “Cody” and Josh; son, David Worthington and his children Jamie and Kayla; brothers, Jeffrey and Darrell (Linda); sisters, Colleen, Denise, and Deanna; several nieces and nephews; long-time companion, Juanita Worthington and her children, Ross Tackett, Renie Kaufman, Turtle Kelly, Sean (Gina) Kelly; grandchildren, Rossy Tackett, Michael Tackett, Brandon Kelly, Nicholas Kaufman, Shawna Kelly, Kristina Kelly, Sean Kelly, Caleb Kaufman; and great-grandchildren, Mathew, Gaige, Caidence, and Kiley. Funeral service 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 5 at SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL 3030 W. Broad St. where the family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Cystic Fibrosis in his memory.
