

Christina Fitzer, nee Madden, age 40, of New Albany, Ohio was received into the loving arms of Jesus on September 29, 2017. She was born on October 28, 1976, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Pamela Edwards, nee Randolph, and the late Timothy Madden.
Christina is survived by her loving husband, Brett; children, Ella (10) and Owen (7); mother and stepfather, Pamela and Gary Edwards; stepbrother, Josh Edwards; stepmother, Mary Madden; father and mother-in-law, Richard and Carol Fitzer; sister and brother-in-law, Candyce, nee Fitzer, and David McCarter; five nieces and a nephew; grandparents, Robert and Helen Wetenkamp; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her father, Timothy Madden; and grandparents, James and Clara Randolph.
A lover of Jesus, Christina lived life with great passion. Relationships brought her immense joy and she gathered strength from being surrounded by her family and many caring and supportive women. A deeply caring and spirited mother, wife and friend, she always believed in and encouraged those around her. She was strong and fierce and loved. She attended Five14 Church, New Albany, Ohio where she and her husband were founding members and served as small group leaders.
Christina enjoyed, with great enthusiasm, reading, cooking, crafting, motherhood and she collected many great friends along the way. She loved bringing people together and having a full house of friends, family and children. In fact, she was well known for often saying, "the more shoes at the door the better!" She loved music, traveling, good food and the theater, especially when enjoyed with her husband of 16 years, Brett. Among her favorite places to visit were The Omni Homestead Resort in Hot Springs, Virginia, the Island of Kauai, Hawaii, Walt Disney World, and Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
Christina is a graduate of the University of Dayton where she was part of the Theta Phi Alpha sorority. She was an accomplished communication/marketing professional for non-profit, healthcare, government and small business environments. Her employers included OhioHealth, Columbus Chamber of Commerce and the Ohio Division of Travel and Tourism.
Friends are invited to visit with the family to celebrate her life and legacy on Friday, October 6, 2017, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Schoedinger Funeral Home, 1051 East Johnstown Rd., Columbus, OH A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 7, 2017, at 10 a.m. at Quest Community Church, 4877 Central College Rd, Westerville, OH
