Christine L. (Dorsey) Hendershot, age 94, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 14, 2017. She was born April 2, 1923 in Albany, Ohio to the late Benjamin G. and Marie (Winget) Dorsey. She is also preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Thomas E. Hendershot; and her beloved dog, Sadie. Christine is survived by her son, Byron L. (Sharon) Hoffee; daughter, Cheryl A. Hoffee; step-son, Jay Patrick (Linda) Hendershot; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Christine was a lifelong member of The Order of the Eastern Star. An avid golfer, she played until she was 90 years old. Throughout her life, she lived in Athens, OH, Columbus, OH, Pinehurst, NC, and The Villages, FL. Her feisty spirit will be missed by countless friends and golfing partners. Christine was also a sports fanatic, especially for her beloved Buckeyes. Funeral services will be private.
