

Christopher Michael Rosato, age 39, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 21, 2010. He was born in Columbus on August 5, 1971, and was a 1989 graduate of St. Francis DeSales High School. When Chris was 12 years old, he started working as a caddy at The Golf Club in New Albany. He also worked in the kitchen, where he developed a passion for cooking. After graduating from the Florida Culinary School, he returned to The Golf Club and worked his way up, and has been the chef there for the last 10 years. Chris loved to cook, and he was good at his job. He was always working to improve his recipes, and his food was always perfect. He enjoyed reading cookbooks, and he liked to play golf in his spare time. He was kind-hearted and loving to all, humans and animals alike, and he enjoyed traveling, especially to try new restaurants and to visit family. He is survived by his wife of 4 years, Jennifer Rosato; parents, Richard (Melissa) Rosato and Barbara Rosato (Lester Jones); brother, Timothy Scott Rosato; in-laws, Ralph (Deborah) Winslow, Jr.; grandparents, Dominick and Josephine Rosato, Ralph Winslow Sr., and Sharon Boling; other family members, Joyce Wells, Marie Bezdany, Robert (Meghyn) Winslow, and Jacqueline Brooke; good friend, Yogi Criner, and others from The Golf Club; and many other extended family members and wonderful friends. Family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Friday at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
