Cindy L. Korbel, age 55 of Columbus, passed away Monday March 15, 2010. Cindy was born and raised in Columbus, daughter of the late William and Vohnie Korbel. Cindy graduated from Gahanna Lincoln High School, Class of 1973. Following high school, Cindy started her family. Family was always very important to her, and it was something she took much pride in. She was a wonderful cook, and always enjoyed family get-togethers, especially ones that included her famous bean dinner. Cindy was currently employed with the Ohio Auto Auction as a driver, a position that she loved. In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing; going to the park, sitting by the lake, peacefully holding her fishing pole was something that brought her much joy. Besides fishing, it was her grandchildren that she enjoyed most of all; time shared and spent with them was the most precious. She is survived by her loving companion, Robert Fuller; children, Shannon (Jennifer Hudnall) Korbel, Michelle (Chris Carr) Settles, and Michael (Brittney Watkins) Settles; grandchildren, Kelly, Carrin, Annalyce, and Shyann; sister, Mona (Dan) Ramsey; beloved pets, Wrinkles and Dwight; and many other nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends. Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. Saturday, March 20, 2010 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., where family will receive friends from 5-8 P.M. Friday. Interment Mifflin Township Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Central Region Office-FRAN, 870 Michigan Ave., Columbus, Ohio 43215.
