Claire P. Jequinto

Claire P. Jequinto, age 86, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 25, 2014. She was born December 4, 1927 in Kalibo, Aklan in the Philippines to the late Pastor and Maria Pastrana. She was a devoted child of God, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Aklan College, Kalibo Aklan in 1950 and later her Elementary Teacher Certification from Capiz Colleges in 1968. Claire was a dedicated teacher of second grade students for 40 years. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Catholic Church. She loved to spend time gardening and, most of all, being with her family. Claire is survived by her husband of 56 years, Carlos A. Jequinto; children, Steve (Teresita) Jequinto, Susan (Jun) Macatangay, Sylvia (Fredrick) Mastelero, Carlos P. Jequinto, Jr., and Samuel (Suzette) Jequinto; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brothers, Rey Pastrana and Don (Linda) Pastrana; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Visitation will be 4-8pm Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at the SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City.
