My sympathy and prayers for the loss of Clary.

She was a beautiful person and nurse

What a beautiful person inside and out. I met Clary In our diabetes educator’s association and then later as co-worker at Cols VA. She did so much for her patients. Was always happy when I saw her after retirement. Sadly missed but never forgotten

Clary has been one of my treasured friends for more than 20 years. I loved her dearly and will miss her smiling face, laugh and our many conversations. 
My husband Jim and I were honored to spend time with her and her wonderful Mother in Puerto Rico. These pics are some of those precious memories.  Our thoughts and prayers go to her husband Jose and sons Jose and Ricardo whom she loved more than anything in this world. We will miss her so very much.  Jim and Laura Jackson

I spent a lot of time with Clary when our boys were growing up as classmates at St Agatha School and at St Charles Prep. She was so kind hearted. We car pooled to St Charles, too. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. My heart goes out to Jose Sr., Jose Jr and Ricca. Her faith was strong. Although we have not seen each other much in recent years, I will miss her.

The arrival of the Acosta family to our street in Hato Rey, Puerto Rico, was a real blessing. Don Rafa and Doña Valen were quickly embraced into the extended neighborhood family, and Clary, Rafy and Edna readily became part of our bunch. Clary’s parents values were imprinted in all of their children and reflected on to the ‘street gang’.  What I remember most about Clary is her laughter, always a smile on her face, and her enthusiasm and energy. 
Such a terrible loss... for her family and for everyone who knew her. Our heartfelt sympathies to her husband and her sons. Our prayers so that they can overcome this. Our faith tells us she is rejoicing in her reunion with her departed parents and family members.

Clary , this is a very heartbreaking moment for us, but knowing her and her Faith she is rejoicing in heaven looking who to help. I work with her at the Va and she carried highly our heritage, Latina 100% with the greatest heart and kindness for everyone.  She made the best Flan in the world.  Advocate for Diabetes and educate so many of our patients. Advocates for female Veterans care, especially for getting their mammograms done,  and for Red cross.  Her number 1 orgullo was her family,  wonderful Husband and 2 Sons,  her love and her garden. 
She will be missed,  no one else like her.

I am so sorry to learn of Clary’s passing. I worked at the VA with her. I recall many meaningful conversations mostly about her love of family and pride in her heritage.
She was caring, generous and funny. She will be missed. I feel blessed to have known her.  Rest In Peace.

I worked with Clary when she was the Women’s Veterans Coordinator at the VA.  Clary was so compassionate with her patients and always made a difference.  Clary had so many Godgiven gifts, great cook her delicious flan, master gardener just won 1st prize in the Columbus Dispatch garden contest and my walking buddy at the VAOPC.  Clary will be missed.

Sincere condolences to the Garabis Family. Clary was a good friend and co-worker at the VAOPC.  She was a warm and caring healthcare professional who touched many lives.  She was an inspiration and a joy. I will miss her. Rest In Peace.

Clary was a gift to our family.  I had no idea she was I’ll. but I did know how she drove Annie back and forth to see my dad.  I will always be grateful to her for her sacrificial love and kindness when she herself was suffering.  My prayers are with her family. May her memory be a blessing to you.

I will always remember Clary’s dedication to her diabetic patients but above all, her passion as the Women Veterans Coordinator at the VA Ambulatory Care Center to improve services provided to women veterans. I will miss her & I am sure her friends & colleagues will miss her too.

I worked with Clary at the Columbus VAOPC. She organized our first interdisciplinary diabetic patient education program involving medicine, nursing, optometry and pharmacy. She really cared about our diabetic patients; and knew that patient education was critical in helping them control their disease.

If the purpose of life is to discover your God-given gifts and then to use them to make other people's lives better, she found her purpose in life.
