

Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his parents Montford Davis and Bertha Louise (Greer) Davis and son Matthew Davis. He is survived by his daughter, Victoria D. Davis of Columbus, Ohio; daughter in law Penny P. Davis of Lansing, Michigan; brothers, Robert J. Davis of Dayton, Ohio and Floyd Davis of Cleveland, Ohio, as well as five grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and a host of nieces and nephews.
Clifton attended and graduated from Willis High School in Delaware, Ohio in 1950. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged from the Army in 1953 and returned home. He attended college at Central State; Ohio Wesleyan University; Otterbein University and obtained his Master's degree in education from The Ohio State University. Clifton was employed with the Columbus Public Schools for over 30 years and retired as an Assistant Principal.
Throughout his life he was always a family man, believing that family was more important than anything. He also believed that education was the key to success in life.
He enjoyed football, and served as a coach for little league football. He was a big Cincinnati Reds fan, enjoyed fishing, collecting trains, antiques and nature. He also loved to watch old movies and collecting coins.
There will be a visitation at SCHOEDINGER Worthington Chapel, 6699 N. High St., Worthington, Ohio 43085 on Friday February 7, 2020 from 10a-11a with a funeral service following at 11:00am. Burial will be at FLINT Cemetery. To leave condolences for the family please visit www.SCHOEDINGER.com
