

Cody Ty Humphries, age 12 of Galena, passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2010. Cody was born in Fairfax, Virginia and spent several years in Peoria, Arizona, before moving to central Ohio. During his time in Galena, Cody attended Big Walnut Elementary School. Cody was a very insightful young man who never complained and went through everyday with a smile on his face. He once said that “love and friendship was something that you could take with you for all time.” Cody attended the MDA camp in Ashley, Ohio, where he went fishing, boating, and enjoyed the time spent with friends. Chuck Norris, Walker Texas Ranger, was one of Cody’s heroes, and through the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Cody had the opportunity to meet and remain friends with him to this day. Preceded in death by his grandfather, Gary Humphries. Cody will be missed by his loving mother, Deedee Humphries; big brother, Benjerman Airhart; grandmother, Veneca Humphries; aunts and uncles, Gary (Annette) Humphries, Ty (Lisa) Humphries, Wynde Young, Loni (Siggi) Prewitt, Rae Humphries, Clay Humphries, and Guy (Della) Geyer; cousins, Cavan, Cheyenne, Dominic, G.W. III, Jason, J.C., Kyle, Quentin “Q”, Rissa, Sami, Sarah, and Troy; and many other extended family members and dear friends. Funeral Services will be held at 10 A.M. Saturday, July 17, 2010 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 307 Huber Village Blvd., Westerville. Family will receive friends from 4-9 P.M. Friday at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E.
