Cody will be greatly missed by his parents, Michael and Kristina Kegley; siblings, Courtney (Joshua Caldwell), and Gracee. Cody was preceded in death by Grandmother Sharon Kelley and best friend Christian Taylor Tackett.
Cody had a way about him; he could strike up a conversation with anyone. He never met a stranger. Cody touched the life of every person he met. He would give you the shirt off his back even if he knew you wouldn't do the same. He had a big heart and deeply loved his family, especially his sisters.
His addiction began shortly after high school, and he did attempt, several times, to overcome this battle. The drugs told him, 'I can make you feel nothing; I can make you feel like everything will be okay.' What it didn't tell him was how it would devastate him and his family and attempt to tear it apart. How it would take and take and take until it took his life. Cody is now at peace and will hurt no more. Our broken hearts will forever feel the loss and emptiness of his absence.
Family will receive friends from 5-7 PM on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST, 1740 Zollinger Road, Upper Arlington, Ohio 43221. Guests are respectfully asked to wear masks and attendance will be monitored to ensure safety for everyone attending.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cody Kegley Memorial fund at any CME Federal Credit Union location.
