Connie S. Evans

Connie was born on November 4, 1948 to the late Ruth Ann (Ward) and Green Combs in Wheelwright KY., and grew up in White Hall and graduated from White Hall Yearling High School class of ’66. She received her Master’s Degree from The Ohio State University in 1995 in Social Work. After graduation, she served for a number of years with Netcare Corp. and joined the Columbus Area Inc. and served with them for the past 15 years, as Manager. Her dedication to her profession, colleagues, clients, and friends has lead many others to enter the social services field. Connie loved to meet friends and colleagues for lunch and did a lot of mentoring during that hour, but her family was her life. She was called grandma by all of her family, and took pride in rearing 4 children, and 4 grandchildren.

Along with her four children, Connie is survived by 9 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, and many other loving relatives and friends.

Family and friends may call at the Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 Livingston Ave., Columbus, OH on Monday, October 25, 2010 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. The family will have private services at graveside at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens at a later date.
