Connie Sue Hansgen, age 45, of Blacklick, Ohio passed safely into God’s care on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 with her loving family at her side. Connie was truly a positive inspiration to everyone she came in contact with. Born February 11, 1965 to Ronald and Shirley (Beem) Ishmael, Connie went to grade school at Jefferson Elementary and was a 1983 graduate of Gahanna Lincoln High School. “Miss Connie” as she was affectionately known, worked as a health aid within the Licking Heights School District, where she loved her co-workers and all of the kids, and appreciated everything they did for her through her fight with cancer and “Flippin’ for Connie”. Nothing was more important to Connie than spending time with her family, whether it was a trip to Gatlinburg, heading out West in the RV, or simply enjoying a movie together. Connie married Keith Allen Hansgen, Sr. on October 19, 1985 and together built a loving home for their daughter, Amanda (Kevin “Andy”) Hite and son, Keith Allen Hansgen, Jr. “A.J.” , who were her pride and joy. Connie also will be forever remembered by her sister, Tammie Evans and brother, Ronald Ishmael (Lisa Reed); father-in-law and mother-in-law, Don and Olive (King) Hansgen; brother-in-law, Brian Hansgen; sister-in-law, Sonjia (Pat) Knecht; beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, niece and many, many special friends. Family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8pm Friday, August 6, 2010 at Shepherd Church of the Nazarene, 425 S. Hamilton Rd., Gahanna, OH 43230 where a Celebration of Life Service will begin at 10am Saturday; Pastors Tim Swanson and Bob Stewart officiating; interment Blacklick Cemetery.
