Connie Sue McAlister

Connie Sue (Atkinson) McAlister, 59, went home to be with the Lord on February 5, 2018, after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. She is survived by her loving husband, Tom McAlister, and her parents Donald and Susan Atkinson. Connie leaves behind her sisters Linda Atkinson, Jody (Steve) Smith, Patti (Jarrod) Whitlatch and Amanda (Matt Hernandez) Atkinson. She is survived by many nieces and nephews, including her special niece Rebekah Smith.

Connie was Vice President of D.L. Atkinson, Inc. for 36 years, and a long time member of The Grove City Church of The Nazarene. She loved to be outside working in the yard, whether it was planting flowers and trees, or cutting the grass. Her faith in the Lord Jesus never wavered during the years she battled cancer and she often expressed confidence that God had a plan for her life. Having trusted Jesus as her Savior, Connie left this life with the certainty that she would be welcomed into His loving arms of Jesus in Heaven. She is an inspiration to all who knew her and she is loved beyond words by her family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 11, 2018 from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm at the Grove City Church of The Nazarene, 4770 Hoover Road, Grove City, Ohio 43123. Her funeral service will be held on Monday, February 12, 2018 at 10am at the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Grove City Church of The Nazarene. Arrangements have been entrusted to Schoedinger Funeral Home, Grove City Chapel.
