Corlyn Loretta Neff

Corlyn McGonigle Neff, age 81, of Columbus, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 5, 2021. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on February 2, 1940 to the late Elwood Paul and Louise Eleanor McGonigle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Neff, Sr., "Strohs" who she married on November 22, 1958; granddaughter, Kimberly Neff; son in-law, David Sims; brother, Woody McGonigle; and sister and brother in-law, Jeannine (Harold) Trump. Corlyn is survived by her children, Jim (Bev) Neff, Christine Sims, Bill Neff, Tom (Gina) Neff, and Elizabeth (Mike) Daugherty; Siblings Pat (Shirley) McGonigle, Mary (Mike) Reinhard, Anna (Gene) Vanhoose and Martha (Keith) Salyer ;21 grandchildren, Danny (Vicky) Neff, Jennifer Neff, Brittany (Adam) Donnelly, Steven (Brooklyn) Neff, Courtney Neff, Lisa Sims, Jessie Sims, Josh Sims, Mike Neff, Bobby Neff, Zak Neff, Shane Neff, Jeannie Lanning, Tasha (Sam) Ganther, Dustin Neff, Amanda (Kelly) Neff, Amber (P.D.) van Dillen, CC McCoy, Aaron McCoy, Brent Daugherty, and Mickayla Daugherty; 20 great grandchildren with two on the way, Hayden Neff, Kimberly Neff, Aubriana Neff, MacKenzi Neff, Gabriella Neff, Brody Donnelly, Jenson Donnelly, Kylen Neff, Mia Neff, Evelyn Neff, Bella Neff, Jovan Johnson, Sabrina Lanning, Nikki Lanning, Cameron Lanning, Nancy Ganther, Jacobus van Dillen, Callahan van Dillen, Jovie van Dillen, and Charlotte van Dillen; and many nieces and nephews. Corlyn is reunited with the love of her life! She had strong Catholic beliefs. She enjoyed her grandchildren, trips with her sister to the thrift stores and Der Dutchman. Corlyn also enjoyed watching Mass on tv, debating politics, and her soap operas! Special thanks to Mt. Carmel Hospice. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, from 2:00PM-4:00PM and 6:00PM-8:00PM with Rosary service at 3:30PM at HEART AND HOPE BY SCHOEDINGER, 3030 West Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at 10:00AM at St. Aloysius Church, 2165 W. Broad St. Columbus, Ohio 43223. Father Patrick Toner, Celebrant.
