Katherine and I just learned of the passing of Chris, your husband and Dad.  What a legacy he leaves to all of you and such a shining example of how to live a strong, Christian life.  We remember first meeting Chris @ the Worthington Pool where Maria and Katherine were taking swim lessons and they were going to be kindergarteners @ St. Michael in the Fall. He was so warm and friendly and invited my daughter Katherine to be on his soccer team. Our daughters became great friends.  We had the honor and pleasure of knowing Chris and your family throughout  the years.  We know this is a hard time for all of you but please know that he is with you in spirit and you will always have so many wonderful memories.  All of you are in our prayers.

Patty and I are so saddened to hear of Chris passing. I have been working abroad and just returned this week to hear of the news. Chris is the most authentic person I know. My husband and I were shocked to just learn of Chris' passing.  We met Chris through his work with Honor Flight and had the pleasure of volunteering under his 'management' a couple times.  I am really so so saddened about Chris' passing. And I do believe in my heart that he went directly to heaven.  I first met Chris at Resurrection Cemetery many years ago and he was giving out the Order of the Mass to attendees. After the Mass, I asked him if he is "Filipino" and in successive years at the Memorial Day Mass we saw each other. I am so thankful that he was elected a member of the PASCO Board of Trustees last year and  I am so disappointed that I lost the opportunity to talk him into the "Presidency of PASCO" in the very near future ( which was my plan anyhow).

Our rosary group and bible discussion group will be praying for Chris.

My deepest sympathies to the Damo family.  As a co-worker and friend for 20 years, Cris always had a positive attitude and was such a generous and kind person.   He was always smiling and always creating an enjoyable atmosphere at work.  He worked hard to get create fellowship with his co-workers and he made you feel like you mattered.   He was so proud of his wife and kids and would tell us of the accomplishments they made as they grew up.   He was especially proud and honored to spend time with his kids as adults.   His dedication to helping others is beyond words.    He is the kind of guy we should all strive to be.    It is so shocking and difficult to comprehend he is gone so soon.     Cris-- you will be missed!

I consider it a privilege to have known and work with Cris.   I enjoyed the opportunity to have known him as a friend.

My heart goes out to all of you for such a tremendous loss.  Cris was always so kind, and always had a smile and helping hand for everyone.  He will be sorely missed.  May God comfort you with His peace, which "passeth all understanding."

I worked with Cris for many years at Battelle. He was always smiling and had something nice to say. He was very active in volunteering with many staff activities without a fuss. I was glad to call Cris a friend.

This is the perfect picture of you. Your piercing gaze has a way of getting hold of someone, as if to say, "I mean business!" I will miss that soft-spoken voice of yours, and the dry sense of humor, often punctuated by a subsequent chuckle. I regret I didn't take more time to assist you in more of your endeavors, but doing more in the community can be our tribute to you as we live our lives. Thanks, Chris, for allowing me to drive your car last 4th of July in the Upper Arlington parade to chauffeur 2 vets as part of the Honor Flight program. It was a thrill for these 2 men to receive such sincere appreciation from the crowd. Your desire to help these men has been instilled in many. We will continue to do this as part of your legacy. Well done, good and faithful servant.

I miss the days of working with you guys in Dr. Miller's lab at OSU and thank you for what you taught me in these days. You were always so amicable and helpful to me when I was a new graduate student. I always remember the Buffalo wings lunch on Tuesdays. You always ordered "wild" wings with extra sauce and sweat a lot to finish these super hot wings. Of course, there were so many times of heavy beer-drinking in Varsity Club or Our-or-In. You made my graduate student life a happy memory.

Barbara and I, like many others I’m sure, were truly shocked when we heard on Sunday morning of Chris’ passing. I shall always remember Chris as one of the first 3 members of my research group at Ohio State. He also was the only of them who, after school, made his home in the Columbus area, which allowed Barbara and myself to see him on occasion. At those times we were always so happy to hear him speak with justifiable pride about his family. Chris reached out to the community and touched so many lives. In the same way he remained in touch with many group members. I have heard from a couple who are already aware of his passing, and with heavy heart I’ll inform the rest of the group today. God’s peace and support to Elaine and their children.

Cris' life is a legacy of love and devotion. First and foremost, he leaves a legacy of lifetime service to the Lord, always embracing faith and allowing it to flourish through his works with countless others. As a son, brother, husband, and father, he leaves a legacy of family, demonstrating commitment that ensures family bonds are always strengthened and cherished. And, as a friend, near or far, and new or old, Cris leaves a legacy of caring that has brought comfort and happiness to so many lives. New Years eve of 1999, Cris hid Hershey candy kisses all over our house. We were still finding them months later.

Cris was a great neighbor and friend. He will be missed.

So many memories, of one truely amazing brother-in-law! I met you some 21+ years ago, we became related when I married Elaine's brother Jim in 1994. I don't think I ever saw you without a smile on your face. We couldn't have picked a more derserving Godfather for our son JT when he was baptised!!! The English/Damo family traditions will never be the same without you! I will miss you hidding candy, when no one was looking, around our house, which to this day we are still finding them from years ago. I will miss you being on our family vacations, Thanksgivings at your home that you always welcomed us with a hug, and celebrating Christmas at Mom English's with you!  When my daughter Madison moved this past January to Columbus for school, you took care of her like she was your daughter, not just your niece. I will be forever grateful to you for that. I will miss you!! To Elaine, Patrick, Katherine, and Maria,  I wish I could take your pain away! You have been so blesseed to have such an amazing husband and father. My thoughts and prayers are with you all! I love you, I am here for you!!! To Chris's parents, brothers and extended Damo family, May God comfort you all during this difficult time. Cris was a wonderful person, and an example for every Christian. It hurts my heart that he is no longer with us, but I know he has been called home to do greater works for God. My prayers are with the Damo family, please know he was greatly loved by all.

Cris was an awesome friend and coworker.  Always doing for others and always a fantastic smile.  A small group of us at work would go out to lunch with Cris and he always had a new place to try which was always a great place to go.  I just know that he is with Christ now.  What a great place to be.  Prayers for peace.  My thoughts and prayers are with you all.  He is loved and missed.
