Taking pride in his yard, which he affectionately referred to as "the farm," he spent hours meticulously grooming it and then would sit back and enjoy the results. He also loved his cars and kept them as meticulous as his yard. Dan was a member of Kinsale and Scioto Reserve Golf Clubs. He also loved Delaware Golf Club and all of his buddies he played with throughout the years.
After high school, Dan served four years in the United States Air Force earning the ranking of Staff Sergeant E5. He was stationed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and in Da Nang and Cam Ranh Bay, Vietnam.
Dan graduated from The Ohio State University with a B.S. in Education.
Dan met Liz at OSU and they were happily married for 46 years. They lived a wonderful life together along with family and friends.
After graduating, his career focused mainly in the automobile industry working for Bobby Layman Chevrolet, USAA Insurance, and retired after 20+ years as Service Director from Byers Chevrolet. He was a dedicated, conscientious, and loyal employee with an excellent work ethic.
Dan will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Liz Davis; his son Kyle Davis (fiancée Tammy Feinauer); granddaughter Claire Davis and her mother Kim Davis; sisters Callie Haynes and Judy Lutz; sister-in-law Emily Swarmer; nieces Julie Geen and Jillian Beckham; nephews Dennis Jackson and Nathan Lutz; and many family members and close friends.
