

Daniel Howard Culp, age 77, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. He was born on July 17, 1939 in Columbus, Ohio. Dan served in the National Guard, retired from Lucent with over 35 years of service, and enjoyed golfing, boating, travelling, buying and selling cars, and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Sarah (Moore) and Charles Whitacre; father, Howard Culp and brother, William Culp. Dan is survived by his loving wife of nearly 40 years, Sharon (Miller) Culp; children, Sandra (Lonnie) Gallion, Christine (Jeffrey) Robinson, Brenda (Kary) Daniell, and Joseph Kitchen; grandchildren, Justin, Jacob, Cara, Danielle, Lauren, Sarah, Kayla, Stephanie, and Kelli; great-grandchildren, Mason, MaKayla, Westin, Alex, and Amelia; brother, James (Ruth) Culp; sister, Carol (Phillip) Ditello; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Family will receive friends 5-8 pm Monday at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., where the funeral service will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday, March 28, 2017. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the ALS Association, 1170 Old Henderson Rd., Suite 221, Columbus, Ohio 43220.
