

Daniel Joseph Duffy, age 56, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at his home. He was born October 4, 1959 to John D. and Joan (Trott) Duffy in Columbus. Dan graduated from Wehrle High School, received his Bachelor's in Accounting from The Ohio State University and his MBA from Capital University. He was a Certified Public Accountant, employed by National Church Residences as an Asset Manager. Dan will be remembered for his beautiful blue eyes and his wonderful sense of humor. He was a dedicated and devoted husband, a loving and proud father who will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. Dan was a loyal Ohio State and Columbus Blue Jackets fan. He was a member of St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church and COBOA, as an Official. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his twin brother, Dennis. Dan is survived by loving wife of 28 years, Deborah Varrasso Duffy; sons, Kendrick D. Duffy, Aaron J. "A.J." Duffy and Nathan D. Duffy; siblings, Patty (Dick) Conway, John "Jack" Duffy and Nancy (Dick) Miller; nieces and nephews, Brian (Shelly) Conway, Nancy (Scott) Callaghan, Julie, Steven and Dennis Miller, Megan (Derrek) Day and Ashley Hupp; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Diana Varrasso; sisters-in-law, Denise Stewart and Julie (Dave) Stewart; great-nieces, great nephews, many cousins and friends. Family will receive friends Thursday, from 5-8 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 1, 2016 at St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church, 807 Havens Corners Road, Gahanna, where family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass. Fr. Paul Noble, Celebrant. Dan's family would like to thank the National Church Residences Hospice for their tender care and The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center.
