Danl L. Bodle

Danl passed away on April 9, 2010 at the Newark Health Care, Newark, Ohio. Dan was born on September 21, 1947, in Newark, Ohio, to the late Clarence “Ted” Bodle and Cleo J. Rector Bodle. He was baptized by John Dudgeon, on August 10, 1959 in Leslie Beatty’s Pond, Purity, Ohio. He graduated from Utica High School, Utica, Ohio in 1965 and then interred into the United States Air Force and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. He was a lifelong carpenter and wood worker, and member of the Elks Lodge 391. He also enjoyed hunting, golfing, skiing, and bowling.

Dan is survived include his children Jennifer L. and Gregory M. Palmer, both of Arizona; siblings Sherylyn (Richard) Davis, Linda (Thomas) Stevens, Patricia (Ronald) Babcock, and Joseph (Patricia) Bodle. He is also survived by his companion of 24 years, Patty Shriver, and his buddy Shadow, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Donations may be made to the Hospice of Central Ohio, 2269 Cherry Valley Rd., Newark, Ohio 43055 in his memory. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Criss Schoedinger Funeral Home, 179 Granville St., Newark, Ohio.
